“IF DEPENDED ON ME”

“IF DEPENDED ON ME

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
Ecclesiastes 9:10 - NKJV

I believe one of the most intriguing questions a Christian may ask himself is this: “If my church/community depended only on my efforts, what would it look like?”
We are living challenging times indeed, but honestly, this is nothing new to the reader of the Bible. Jesus Himself, the Apostle Paul and several other men of God declared that we would experience such times.
Nevertheless, my perception is that even within the Church, the spiritual body redeemed by the blood of Jesus, there is a lack of understanding as far as how important it is to be aware of our own untransferable personal responsibilities with the Kingdom.
As far as our involvement with the work in the Cause of the Gospel and in the matters of the church, the conclusion that “even if I don’t do it, someone else will”, is dangerous, mistaken and self-destructive.
The fact is: nobody else should do what God asked me to do. Yes, God can certainly use someone else - and He will, but our duty and responsibility is to obey Him in whatever our mission is in the Kingdom of God.
We may not be able to be the best of the best in a given task, but we can certainly try our best, we may not have all the resources, but we can for sure count on the unlimited resources of our Lord.
Therefore, next time something comes your way regarding a need or effort for the Kingdom of God through His Church, do it with excellence,  with everything you have and according to your best ability, and leave everything else to the Lord; He will use what you have in your hands and power, to fulfill His perfect and glorious plan amongst men.

Wishing many blessings to you and your family!
