BY FAITH YOU STAND

BY FAITH YOU STAND

“For by faith you stand”
2 corinthians 1:24

Centuries after the Lord ascended to Heaven, it is indisputable the impact Christianity has had on mankind. Despite heavy and cruel persecution, in defiance of being scattered around the whole world, and regardless of internal divisions and even severe moments of profound weaknesses throughout history, here we are, witnessing the victories and the challenges of the 21st century.
But the question is: What keeps Christians standing? Which kind of force grants the tenacity and boldness that form the adhesive mortar to keep us going? The answer comes from the same Book that holds eternal and ever-living truth: faith.

The people of God do not stand because of their own strength, or because of their social, economic, technological or denominational gathering power or institutional orthodoxy. People of God stand by the assurance that we can trust and put our hope in those things that, even invisible, exist and shape the very fabric of our existence, our faith!

Our confidence and faith are cemented on solid ground, anchored in the Rock of Ages, the Lord Jesus Christ. His presence, provision and promises are the elements that make us march forward victoriously.

The times we are living in are not supposed to become easier, it will be rather the opposite, but our flag and banner must be kept soaring over every fear and doubt, our faith must prevail, and it is faith alone that will take us into our final destination, an eternal life with God Himself.

The Apostle Paul had this blessed assurance in mind when, close to his martyrdom, he wrote: “I have kept the faith.”

Dear brother, sister and friend, let’s not be discouraged or threatened by the difficulties we see, but emboldened and invigorated by those things we cannot see, and that by faith, and faith alone, are able to give us the encouragement and stamina to keep us going “until we receive from the Righteous Judge, our crown of righteousness, which will be given to all of those who have loved His appearing.”

Wishing many blessings to you and your family!
