“POSTPONED HOPE"
“POSTPONED HOPE"
Beloved Unchained Family and friends:
This week I was able to rejoice and celebrate with a friend a wonderful answer he received for something he had been praying for 20 years!
It’s not easy to wait that long, it demands a lot of faith, hope, determination and a great amount of patience.
Proverbs 13:12 talks about “the hope that is postponed”, deferred, delayed. It says “it makes the heart sick”. We must be very careful to not become bitter people because of something we think must happen in our designated time or in a way that completely agrees with our expectations. Sometimes it will take a while to see the full design and development of God’s plans in our lives, and very often the package comes with waiting. Having the heart bitter is something we must avoid at all cost, for our own benefit.
Nevertheless, the same verse also says that “but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life”. What a wonderful promise for all of us! The image of a tree represents beauty, peace, abundance, protection, provision, seasonal fruit, and being firmly and steadfastly rooted. We need all these things, and the Lord knows it!
Hang in there a little more, don’t let your heart be troubled, because our Lord has the best plan for you, He wants to change the bitterness of the waiting into the sweetness of the fulfillment!
Wishing many blessings to you and your family,
Pr. Joshua
