"3 ANSWERS TO GOD"

3 ANSWERS TO GOD

And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, “We will hear you again on this matter.” However, some men joined him and believed, among them Dionysius the Areopagite, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.
Acts 17:32,34 - NKJV

The text above was registered by Luke and relates to a visit of the Apostle Paul in Athens, right after a wonderful and careful exposition of the Word of God in the “Areopagus”, a place located on a small hill where they would meet frequently to hear and discuss the “latest news”.

Paul took advantage of that moment and the 17th chapter of Acts contains is one of the most brilliant examples of a presentation of the message of salvation in the whole New Testament.

At the end of his discourse, 3 answers were given by the audience: mocking, postponing, and embracement.

In our own days, unfortunately nothing changed as far as how people answer to God regarding the invitation for salvation: some mock, others postpone, and some receive the message and the salvation in Jesus Christ.

It’s very relevant to be aware and acknowledge that all these answers will also have an “answer”, when the Lord Jesus Christ Himself comes back to reign forever with us. For those who mocked, they will understand that the message of the Gospel was indeed the most serious matter since the foundation of the world; for those who kept postponing, simply there will be no more time; and for those whose hearts received the Word of the Lord and lived by it, the eternal reward of the presence and blessings of the Living God abiding with them forever!

Which group of people are you in?

My prayer is that you decide for the only answer that will grant you an eternity with God, which is to receive by faith the gift of salvation sent by Him through His only Son, Jesus, and then live your life enjoying the guidance, blessing and wonderful company of His Holy Spirit until the day we all will enjoy the triumph and delight of eternity in the presence of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Wishing many blessings to you and your family!
