YOUR HOPE WILL NOT BE CUT OFF
What a beautiful verse we see in Proverbs 23.18:
“For surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.”
Have you ever been in a situation where someone let you down completely?, or found yourself disappointed after being involved in a whirlwind with a series of completely unexpected events that left you extremely hurt to the point of no hope at all? Most likely, you can answer these questions with an echoing “yes!” - all of us can. There are circumstances in our journey where what we need the most is to hold on to the promises of the Lord voiced in His Word, and the verse we have just read is a precious one in that regard.
In fact, there are actually many reasons by which we can certainly hope for a future, that we can sit tight awaiting for the promise of the Lord that indeed, there is a future, that we can rely and put our expectancy on our Creator. I want to point some of them:
God is not a man
This is excellent news! Scriptures say that the Lord is unchangeable, immutable, and throughout thousands of years His faithfulness stands. This is the assurance we have that the Creator of the universe Who sets the sun every single day, Who gives us the rain, keeps the stars in place and maintains everything in the cosmos under the word of his power, He will certainly fulfill His promises that our hope will not be cut off. Think for a moment, and you will perceive that when we look back at our own lives, it is not too difficult to see the marks and fingerprints left by every time the Lord came to rescue us, - sometimes even freeing us from ourselves, with the loving desire of renewing our strength and make us move forward, for the simple reason that “He is not a man who lies, or a son of man who repents.”
You are loved
When we listen to this phrase “I love you” many things can come to mind, mainly because sometimes these are so many “fake lovers” in this world. However, the amazing God that chose to love us unconditionally decided to manifest this love in human flesh, sending His own Son to bring a fresh and completely new meaning to the words “I love you”. This is the Heavenly Father Who never gives His sons and daughters a scorpion when they ask for eggs, or a snake when they seek for bread. Rest assured: you are incontestably loved, and with such irrevocable, wonderful and unfailing love, and in an unparalleled and matchless way where nothing or nobody can snatch you out from the mighty hands of the Lord. You were bought and made just, and the seal of that unearthly transaction was the very blood of the Son of God. Rejoice thus, you are unconditionally loved!
God has a master plan
We all know that every human being is unique and wonderfully made. You and I are not a coincidence, we are definitely not “one more in the production line”. Indeed, we were well known even before birth and marvelously conceived in the mind of our God in every detail, we are part of a specific and wonderful plan designed “to give us a peace and a future”. And the best part of this plan is this: we were not the architect of it, God is, and because of that, it is a perfectly and infallibly designed blueprint sketched to last forever on your behalf, for all eternity, with breathtaking details that will never cease surprising us.
Therefore, my dear friend, nobody will be able to cut off your dreams, no one will dare to sabotage your dream, because the Lord God Almighty is the one Who says: “yes, there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off!” Lift up your head and heart today, your bright future awaits for you, not because I said so, but because the Almighty God did, and His plans and promises, despite us or anything else, will never, ever fail.
